What are people's opinions on this? I've been having a look around for things like the SAFC-II , but have seen the Neo on various websites, and wondered if these are any good?

I dont yet have any types of controllers, be it boost or fuelling, so was also wondering if this could be installed prior to a boost controller? I will be getting a boost controller soon enough, so it wont be for long.

What would you go for if you had a standard Pulsar, with a moderate budget, and not looking for huuuuge power? Just looking to get above the 300bhp mark. Got 240 on standard car, so 60 away.

Advice please, mainly on the Neo, but all other suggestions welcome! 2

Well, I think it's replaced the SAFC-II, I think the ones for the V-TEC's are the VAFC?

Not sure, could be wrong, but if you look on here: http://www.nengun.com/electronics/apexi/s-afc-ii , it says the safc is discontinued and the replacement is the Neo.

Anybody know for sure?

As i understand it the Neo replaces the SAFC2 and the VAFC and combines them in one unit, there is also a few more fuel control points too.

Yeah, that's how I thought it worked aswell, from what I had read about it. Looks quite good actually, just wonder if they're going to release a similar looking AVCR? Would look a bit odd having the Neo and the AVCR blue screen, would prefer to get a AVCR Neo version.

So, would I be able to install a Neo on it's own, or would it be best to get other mods to go with it?

It wont hurt fitting it on it's own,you just wont get much in the way of any benefits other than monitoring different sensors until you go above standard boost and have it mapped.

The cheapest place I can find it is here:

Most other places charge a lot more, even that Ebay one is more expensive.

Not sure whether to get one just yet anyways, as I wont get the full benefit from it, would just like to have it in place ready for other things that get done to the car. If I ever get chance to spend some money on mods for it rather than servicing parts or fixing things. 2
