They are two different beasts when it comes down to it; it's a bit like comparing apples with oranges.

The skyline is a good GT cruiser. You get it on a motorway or an A road and it just goes.
The GTi-R is a B road blaster. It doesn't really like cruising as much as it likes accelerating out of corners and off the line.

At TOTB last year I noticed that a tuned GTi-R will get off the line and get well ahead of the skyline... but as soon as the skyline gets momentum it will reel the little car in and overtake it (so higher top speed).

I've had an R33 GTS-T and would have liked another, but my wife wisely said that it wasn't small and nimble enough for the roads of North Wales... the GTi-R definitely is.

So, do you want an apple or do you want an orange?

I'm usually pretty unhelpful. PM sent!
True to it's rally roots, the GTI-R spends 90 percent of the time "off road"

Oh yeah, I should have thought of Alex.

That's a good 'un. It used to be Andy Chan's, and he put quite a bit of work and money into it before deciding he needed the 4-doors of an EVO for his expanding family.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Alex has gone back to a slightly more standard look and feel for the interior. It sounds like a good compromise for a daily driver to me.

hi mate, just for info, today a friend of mime who have a Nissan 200SX S14A has come to try my R, when i began to drive a little bit faster than normal he begins to tell me "whoaaaou, it's a crazy thing this car, it pulls like a train!!!, as lot more than my S14 with 0,9b of boost (mine just have 0,7b...), than he told me that his car was a good cruise car, but mine was a lot more funny to drive!!!

i know S14 is different than the R33 GTR, but it's pretty the same philosophy.....take a R if you drive on norrow funny roads, if you cruise take a R33.....
